9:15 - 10:00 am	Osteoporosis Update Clifford J. Rosen, MD Objectives: After participating in this session, attendees will be able to: Know the evidence for discontinuing bisphosphonate therapy in women who have used these medications for 5 years or more. Know how frequently DEXA scans should be repeated in post-menopausal women without osteoporosis at baseline. Know what evidence supports use of calcium and vitamin D supplementation in post-menopausal women.

1:30 - 2:15 pm	Recent Advances in the Diagnosis and Management of Thyroid Cancer Stephanie L. Lee, MD, PhD, FACE, ECNU Objectives: After participating in this session attendees will be able to: Summarize the role for molecular markers in the evaluation of indeterminate thyroid nodules. Summarize the role of molecular markers and the management of low risk thyroid cancers. Summarize recent advances for the management of non-iodine responsive differentiated thyroid cancer.
2:15 - 3:00 pm	Controversies about Incretin-based Diabetes Therapy: DPP-4 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists Edward S. Horton, MD Objectives: After participating in this session attendees will be able to: State the modes of action and efficacy of incretin-based therapies for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Review the currently available data on the safety of incretin-based therapies in pre-clinical and clinical trials. Understand current controversies regarding potential risks of pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer and medullary thyroid cancer associated with incretin-based therapies.
3:00 - 3:15 pm	Post-Test Questions Objectives: Measure learning that occurred that will enable the use of new healthcare techniques and practices and to review or confirm existing care modalities.

Cancelations received after this date will not be refunded except in extenuating circumstances in which case a request must be made in writing and reviewed by the Chapter President.
